What were your expectations of college life before UC Merced?
Large school, large classes and an overwhelming environment.
How did your experience here correspond to that expectation?
It didn’t at all. I was pleasantly surprised.
What are your plans for after graduation?
To go on and obtain a master’s degree in public health.
How did your experience at UC Merced prepare you for your future endeavors?
Doing research with Natural Sciences professor Rudy Ortiz swayed my decision to pursue a degree in public health.
What is your best UC Merced memory?
Living in the dorms when the whole school was so empty.
What is the one thing you think all freshmen should know to make the most of their academic career here?
Work hard no mater what. The second you start slacking, you will regret it.
