What were your expectations of college life before UC Merced?
I expected to meet a lot of new people and to learn more about the world we live in.
How did your experience here correspond to that expectation?
I met a lot of people from different backgrounds. Because I became involved with my church in the community, I was able to go to Brazil and Mexico twice to build homes for people in poverty. I loved experiencing new cultures.
What are your plans for after graduation?
To make a difference for Jesus Christ in this world.
How did your experience at UC Merced prepare you for your future endeavors?
I’ve become more knowledgeable about the world we live in. The time I spent at UC Merced really opened my eyes to many things outside of my Southern California bubble.
What is your best UC Merced memory?
I have many memorable moments here, including the times of fellowship I had in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and being a resident assistant of Fresno Hall.
What is the one thing you think all freshmen should know to make the most of their academic career here?
Take advantage of all the opportunities and resources UC Merced has to offer. A lot of it is free and accessible. You just have to seek it out.
