Who is eligble to participate in the Fall 2021 ceremony?
The Fall 2021 in-person Commencement ceremony will include registered participants from Fall 2021 or Summer 2021 (if they were not included in the Spring 2021 ceremony). All eligble students should have recieved an email with a registration link that was required to be filled out by November 1.
How many guest tickets do we receive?
Each graduate will receive up to four (4) guest tickets for the Fall 2021 Commencement ceremony. Due to capacity limitations, there will be no exceptions. Tickets can be picked up at Grad Fair. Due to health and safety protocols, ALL individuals will be required to have a ticket, including children and infants. No exceptions.
Can my family and friends watch from home if they are unable to attend?
The Fall 2021 Commencement ceremony will be livestreamed and available to view from the Commencement webpage, YouTube, and on social media the day of the ceremony.
What is Grad Fair?
Grad Fair is where graduates can pick-up their guest tickets, order or pick up pre-ordered regalia, purchase class rings, diploma covers and more! Grad Fair is being hosted on Wednesday, November 17th and details will be sent to participants.
What time do the ceremonies begin and when do doors open?
Doors to the venue for guest admittance will open approximately one hour before the ceremony begins. Tickets are specific to school and ceremony start times, please see the ceremony times below:
9:00am - School of Natural Sciences
12:00pm - School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts
3:00pm - School of Engineering
Please note: graduates must participate in the school they are graduating from, no exceptions will be made.
What is the #UCM2021 Journey Project?
UC Merced is committed to commemorating the tremendous and diverse accomplishments of our Graduates by creating the #UCM2021 Journey Project. We invite our students, staff and faculty to submit photos, videos and messages for our graduates, and we will share some of these moments throughout the month of May as we reflect on our achievements and successes as a Bobcat community.
What was my Graduation Fee for?
The Graduation Fee is directly related to your physical diploma and is coordinated through the Office of the Registrar. Per their webpage, the mandatory $40.00 Graduation Application fee supports the purchase of your diploma and diploma mailing.
