Registration & Eligibility

Students with 75 or more completed credits will receive an email from Tassel with a link to the Commencement registration portal. The registration deadline is Friday, April 3.

Students may participate in only one undergraduate commencement ceremony.

If you receive the registration form but do not anticipate graduating by fall 2026, you will remain eligible and will be invited to participate in spring 2027.
Please review the recent announcement with updates on ceremonies and eligibility. If you are not receiving communications, please email commencement@ucmerced.edu from your UC Merced email account with your name, graduation term and degree type.
GRADUATE CANDIDATES
Master's and doctoral degree candidates graduating are able to participate in the Graduate Division Commencement Ceremony. PhD candidates will be hooded by their faculty advisor as part of the Commencement ceremony. The office of Graduate Division will help coordinate with your faculty advisors as needed. Commencement registration will be emailed to eligible candidates.
GRAD FAIR
The 2026 Grad Fair will take place on Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM at the Conference Center on campus.
Grad Fair is an opportunity for graduates to receive information on tickets, parking, take graduation photos to purchase, order regalia, class rings, flower leis and more. Please continue to check your UC Merced email addresses for additional updates and communications.
