UNDERGRADUATE CANDIDATES
Fall 2024 Graduates
Undergraduates that are interested in participating in the Fall 2024 Commencement ceremonies must have applied to graduate through the Office of the Registrar by the September 15th deadline. All students who are eligible to graduate will be sent a link to register to participate in Commencement to their UC Merced email address. In order to participate in Commencement, you must have an approved Graduation Application on file AND have registered to participate in Commencement.
Summer 2024 Graduates
All those who graduated in Summer 2024 and did not participate in Spring ceremonies are able to participate in the Fall 2024 ceremonies. A registration form to opt in to participate in the Commencement ceremonies will be sent to your UC Merced email address.
Spring Graduates
Spring graduates are not eligible to participate in Fall ceremonies.
If you are not receiving communications, please email commencement@ucmerced.edu from your UC Merced email account with your name, graduation term and degree type.
GRADUATE CANDIDATES
Fall 2024 Graduate Candidates
Master's and doctoral degree candidates graduating as part of the Fall 2024 class are able to participate in the Graduate Division Commencement Ceremony. PhD candidates will be hooded by their faculty advisor as part of the Commencement ceremony. The office of Graduate Division will help coordinate with your faculty advisors as needed. In order to participate in the Fall 2024 ceremony, please ensure you have applied to graduate with the Office of the Registrar and registered to participate in Commencement with Graduate Division.
Commencement Registration for the Fall 2024 is now open.
**Please note that students are required to participate in the ceremony concurrent with the semester they apply to graduate. No exceptions will be made.
Graduation Application and Commencement Ceremony Dates:
Fall 2024 Graduation Application - Must participate in 2024 December Commencement Ceremony
Spring 2025 Graduation Application - Must participate in 2025 May Commencement Ceremony
Summer 2025 Graduation Application - May choose to participate in 2025 May or 2025 December Commencement Ceremony
GRAD FAIR
The Fall 2024 Grad Fair will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM at the Conference Center on campus.
Grad Fair is an opportunity for graduates to receive information on tickets, parking, take graduation photos to purchase, order regalia, class rings, flower leis and more. Please continue to check your UC Merced email addresses for additional updates and communications.
